ABOUT THE MILL

Begun in 2008 by a group of students who wanted to bring indie music to the Trinity College campus, the Mill has grown into an arts collective run by a group of like minded but diverse students.

Our venue is located at 79 Vernon Street, in Hartford, and is a space for creation: we have a performance space, a silkscreen studio, a cafe, a jam room, and a two room art gallery. But even now, new projects are underway to define and complete various spaces within the house.

We’ve hosted musical acts such as Sleigh Bells, Girl Talk, Dan Deacon and Freelance Whales as well as numerous visual artists such as Roxy Paine and Jeff Horwat.

Mill alumni have gone on to work for outfits such as The Village Voice, Pianos (NYC) and 1stdibs, to name a few.
