Le Corbusier
modern architect, le corbusier, was the leader of the international style. he believed that a house should serve as a machine to the dweller and that the architecture itself promoted an efficient, healthy lifestyle. corbusier called his house’s ‘health houses.’ his designs included roof top terraces that provided tracks for jogging and decks for sun bathing. his designs were typically white in color, with a strong emphasis on vertical and horizontal lines, and floor to ceiling glass windows which made one feel connected with the surrounding landscape.
