here’s some art from my high school painting teacher, lauren sleat. a lot of her work  deals with sexuality, class, slavery, war, and organizations like the KKK. I love lauren’s creative use of mixed media (like the cotton candy fibers in the first piece) and her historical plays on all kinds of warfare, meant to shock the viewer into realizing the absurdity of our country’s past.

that might sound a little heavy, but dont lose your boner yet!!…lauren’s dry humor and sarcasm always influences her pieces, and her prints and monotypes focus on a totally different subject - the structure of the human body. check out her website too — www.laurensleat.com
