artists for humanity

Artists for Humanity is an orgnaization in Boston that employs middle- and high-school age kids and shows them that their creativity is not only valued, but can make them producing members of society. The mission on the website is “to bridge economic, racial and social divisions by providing underserved youth with the keys to self-sufficiency through paid employment in the arts.” The AFH building is amazing, with tons of studio space, silkscreen presses, and all kinds of programs - like painting, photo, graphic design, fashion design, furniture design, and printmaking. This program can create life-transforming change for lots of kids, and check out to stuff they make!
