Human Planet, which is currently airing in UK, is the BBC’s new nature documentary show (the same folks who brought us Planet Earth). So far i would say the footage more than aptly makes up for the commentary that would make you think Britain was still an empire. In part 4 of 8, entitled Jungles, they give us a truly extraordinary look at scenes like hunting and eating tarantulas, building treehouses 100 feet in the air, and then they slide in their footage of a previously unknown, remote tribe in the Amazon. The sad bit is, unless you want to mess around with your VPN, you cant watch until after the show has finished airing here, at which time the BBC says “it will be rolled out across the world soon after” (on Discovery I believe). It will be worth wait.
