Okay this is SO cool. This one guy, Steve Duncan, is an expert at exploring the “Undercity” of New York City and he has a documentary filmmaker come with him to record it all. He goes into the subways to find an abandoned station, in sewers and even in rail road tunnels to talk to some of the Tunnel People who live there. This video is seriously awesome, completely suspenseful and it is definitely worth watching all 25 minutes. Enjoy!
I’ve had The Books album Lost and Safe floating around my car for about 3 years and I’ll listen to it occasionally but I always found them a little too scatter brained with their long vocal samples and scary sounds to become a full fledged fan. BUT ever since I heard their most recent album The Way Out I’ve been obsessed. This song Free Translator uses samples of a folk song (they can’t release the name due to copyright reasons- I think it’s Bob Dylan). I love the lyrics- just mad jibberish.
Remember when this happened?? Well Girl-Talk is back with his new album “All Day”

Sufjan Stevens is my GOD. He recently dropped Age of Adz which took him back to his electro-folk roots. I just love him. And if you like Sufjan check out The Welcome Wagon, a band he produces and quite frankly he has his finger prints all over.
OH YES!
Mill alums move onto younger and prettier blogs...
Check it out!
Austen Afridi (aka DJ Philistine) showed me this the other night and I’m OBSESSED with Duck Sauce. I haven’t seen a music video this entertaining in a long time.
You can check out remixes to this song and much more at Austen Afridi and Alex Anderson’s blog The Beat Brothel. (http://www.thebeatbrothel.com/)
I have been blasting “Woods” in my car ever since Bon Iver put out Blood Bank, which is why I was very curious when I heard that Kanye rapped over it for his song “Lost in the World”. I know I like the first 3 minutes but then it just kind of gets crazy. Bon Iver also worked with Kanye on his song “Monster”, along with Jay-Z, Nicki Manaj and Rick Ross (I wish I could have seen that!).
