The film “Death at a Funeral” came out in 2008 and got a lot of recognition for its dark humor.
Less than a year later, we have an all-American version for this holiday season with an all-star cast.
The two trailers clearly show the contrast in British and American humor. Despite the blockbusting cast, I don’t really see the Hollywood version being successful…
Trailer Trash: Untitled
After seeing 2 Days in Paris, I’m going to rep anything with Adam Goldberg in it.
the movie looks like an enjoyable satire, with a lot of the jokes reminding me of Art School Confidential. If the movie’s focus gives insightful critcism of the contemporary art world instead of blanket jokes about concept art in general, I’ll be sold.
¡Vuelve Pedro!
Pedro Almodovar, director of Spanish classics Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Talk to Her and most recently Volver, is coming out with a new film next month.

Broken Embraces is the story of four lovers in Madrid. While the movie has many of the standard Almodovar elements (most attractive being the return of Penelope Cruz), it is also his first attempt at creating a noir-style film.
Always the lady’s man, Almodovar has crafted a killer soundtrack featuring music from Cat Power and Uffie

if you thought your summer job was bad….it probably was.
working at adventureland, however, seems pretty fly to me!
Here’s the trailer for Wes Anderson’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic book “The Fantastic Mr. Fox.” While stop motion animation is a new format for Anderson, the film seems to have his signature wit and style. It doesn’t come out until November 13th, but with this and Spike Jonze’s “Where The Wild Things Are” coming out in October it looks like the movies this fall will be a great place to indulge both your inner child and cinephile.
This movie looks insaaaaaane. Produced by Gael Garcia Bernal.
