Young Buffalo - Full Metal Whacket
These guys are an awesome number our friend Jared turned us on to and we are happy to say that there are preliminary plans for them to play at the Mill later this year. Sadly there is no way for us to offer you guys this track for free download but if you like it the band has their entire album on iTunes for purchase. Enjoy. Vegetable Musix
For those of you who want nothing less in the world than party music on a Monday night, the cure is more cowbell.
Mac Miller - Love Lost
Genre: Hip-Hop
Mac Miller gets some hate because people think he’s a mediocre rapper who went mainstream… whatever, this track is awesome because it samples Temper Trap on the beat. Nuff said.
The Peach Kings - Easy
Genre: Indie Rock
Great chill vocals on this track with a very pleasant melody in the background and very pleasing harmonizing; to say it another way - this track wins.
Carousel - Here Now
Genre: Indie Rock
This is probably my favorite song of this particular bunch and I hope you’ll see why once you play it: the song has a wonderful smooth feel to it that politely demands you to be happy - we’d best listen to it.
Monday, Fun-Day
Nobody likes Mondays, least of all myself; here’s some party music to make you remember how much we love the weekends.
Pierce Fulton - Lay Right Here
Genre: Electronic
Pierce Fulton is awesome and no one knows who he is; that makes it that much more awesome for those of us who know who he is - it’s like the transitive property of awesomeness.
Together - So Much Love to Give (Viceroy Remix)
Genre: Electronic
So I first heard this track when Fedde Le Grand put out his music video for it. Only then did I discover that the song had already been out for years. This is the best remix of the bunch.
Dave Edwards - Dance the Night Away (Original Mix)
Genre: Electronic
This is not my favroite song of the pack but Ryndone insisted so here we are. Don’t let me put you off of it though, I just happen to think it’s a little too poppy.
Dallask & Porter Robinson - Jupiter Unison (3LAU Bootleg)
Genre: Electronic/Mashup
Not a big mashup guy but this song is ridiculously good. Not for those who don’t like a little something extra in their party music but the best possible option for those that do.
Train - Hey, Soul Sister (Karmatronic Remix)
Genre: Electronic
Probably my personal favorite in this pack of party music, I mainly love this song because of how it mixes Train’s awesome vocals with a sick electronic beat. Definitely a party favorite.
Easy Listening

Tahiti 80 - Easy
Genre: Indie Rock/Pop
I just found this song floating around in the internet ether but it was so good I just had to post it as soon as I could. If you want a nice pick-me-up, this is the song for you.
Mas Dope Music

New Linen - Higher
Genre: Hip-Hop
New Linen is pretty new on the block but they compensate for their freshman status with great beat production and tightly wound lyricism; definitely worth a listen if you want that final summer song.
Mord Fustang - Milky Way (Original Mix)
Genre: Electronic
Another excellent track by Mord Fustang, this beat is perfect for practicing your electric shuffle. Good for those late night dance sessions to close out the evening.
Muzic For Your Ears

Phantogram - When I’m Small
Genre: Indie Rock
Phantogram is the rare indie rock band that seems to be able to make it big these days but don’t let that scare you away - this song is a perfect mix of grungy and smooth.
Fussy Boy - Gold (Mord Fustang Remix)
Genre: Electronic
This song is a great example of why Mord Fustang is killing it: great dance beat, good sampling, etc. Turn up your good speakers for this one and you won’t be disappointed.
The Inaugural Music Post

DangerMouse & Daniele Luppi - Black (ft. Norah Jones)
Genre: Indie Rock
This is a nice, chill track that rounded out the Breaking Bad season 4 finale. Give it a listen, DangerMouse is a veteran of quality.
Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Special Features Remix)
Genre: Electronic
Calvin Harris is awesome. This song is awesome. That’s really all there is to it; give this song a listen at your next party.
Hope you enjoy guys, consider this the first of many.
Come join us for a night of art, music, food, and drinks at the Mill! First gallery opening of the semester!!
Artist Statement
“Rick Lacey, a recent graduate of the Lyme Academy of fine arts in Old Lyme, Connecticut, is a large scale figurative oil painter. His work deals with the figure depicted on a monumental scale. The work is monochromatic and is focused on form, line and the effect of light. He is interested in imagery that allows the viewer to see the artist’s hand at work, thinly painted areas that leave the ground to show. He is also interested in conveying internal thought in his paintings, the figure in profile allows for the portrait to have no direct outside focus. He works to create simple images that convey internal thought of iconic figures.”
